the killing - cancelled by amc - no 4th season

so long, detective sarah linden. again. amc has cancelled the killing, which just limped through its third season on amc and ended with only 1.5 million tuning in for the season finale.

"we have made the difficult decision not to move forward with a fourth season of the killing,” amc told deadline. “we want to thank our great partners at fox television studios, creator veena sud, an extraordinary cast and the dedicated fans who watched.”

the killing was first cancelled after season two after fans abandoned the drama over its drawn-out storyline involving the death of rosie larsen. it was resurrected after amc, the show’s studio and netflix reached an agreement to reboot it. (the killing would first air on amc, then will be made available on netflix three months after the season finale airs). the third season bowed in june, when creator veena sud promised “we’re going to solve it at the end.”
