cmon guys, it wasn't that bad. the uk version imo is not better,
it's
different. i liked it. i suppose they shud've shown the "after" bit, but it was
fine i guess. i'd really like to see how it did ratingwise.
us:
50 minutes of "wow we're a failing restaurant. look at the violent angry guy."
10 minutes of "ramsay fixes it and here's the short-term result"
uk
10 minutes of "wow, we're a failing restaurant. look at the hopeless couple
running the place."
40 minutes of "ramsay fixes it"
5 minutes of "here's the short-term result"
5 minutes of "here's the restaurant a couple of years later"

so? i liked it.
p.s i am still sure, that the most popular show on american tv, ever, will be a
shot of bigmac in hd for 60 minuts.

marco quotes:
... "who was the beast". (refering to carol thatcher the ex prime minister's
attention seeking daughter )
...."you have 5 seconds to apologise or get out, think about your guests".
(to a diner who complained about his asparagus)

this is an american rebranding of an originally british show. it has the same
presenter and same basic concept, but different executions.
well i never heard of either until now so is that all the show is, just a
reality show about some guy helping restaurants to be better?

frankly i wasn\'t surprised by the excruciatingly bad rendition of the uk version
at all.
i\'d seen hell\'s kitchen before, where ramsay had already been portrayed as a
caricature of himself. i was expecting no less from this series, or maybe even a
bit more.
it\'s a shame that everything re-marketed for the american audience has to be
edited and dramatized to fit their attention span which equals that of a dead
fly. sadly, fox seems to like taking the easy way out again by pleasing the
hurds of couch zombies that lap up this drivel.
as for ramsay, i can only say that by doing more and more shows like these, he\'s
rapidly damaging his name and continues to lose respect among foodies, seemingly
favoring to be type-cast as a foul mouthed money whore.
