what filters would i need for each individual show?

i know that the feed is down for now but i want to setup my filters for when it
comes back online.

i was secretly hoping no-one would ask for this - it'll be *horrible*

i'll have a play and be back in a bit with something that should (hopefully)
work.

by the way - you know the tvrss & bt-chat feeds (shown in the rss tutorial)
still work, right ?

ok then ...

a rule for each, so that you can enable the smart history and track
season/episode numbers for each show individually (this will prevent
duplicates downloading). with a single catch-all rule for all 3 shows you
couldn't use smart history as it would ignore anything with a lower season
number than that of the most recent l & o episode.

do a lot of people have issues with 24 and the l&os?

from all 4 shows this season, i've only missed 6x13 of criminal intent - but
only because it wasn't listed in the feeds i have enabled.

i just find it curious how i seem to be largely unaffected by these shows where
others are having issues.

just lucky i guess...

knew i should have checked against all the feeds instead of just the text
strings from the web page. that's what you get for taking shortcuts

ok then ...

i see the problem - one of the feeds mangles the "&" character
into "\&\amp\;", and one of them turns all spaces into periods (.)

use these instead:-

l&o only

law.(\\+|&|and|\&\amp\;\).order:?(\\.|\\s)(?!
special|svu|s\\.v\\.u\\.|criminal|\\bci\\b|c\\.i\\.)

l&o ci

law.(\\+|&|and|\&\amp\;\).order:?(\\.|\\s)(criminal|\\bci\\b|c\\.i\\.)

l&o svu

law.(\\+|&|and|\&\amp\;\).order:?(\\.|\\s)(special|svu|s\\.v\\.u\\.)


tested with bt-chat, and tvrss (standard & legacy)

i was right with one part of my first response, however ...
it *was* horrible


edit:

aaaaaaaaarghhhh
and now i find that the forum software mangles more than just "\\" characters
in expressions. it displayed lumps of the regexes as smileys. lol

another edit:

ok - fixed now, so it displays correctly. might be worth double checking
against the now updated rss tutorial doc though - the forum software could
also have done something nasty but more subtle that i haven't noticed yet.

sorry to bother you again but the svu expression is failing the test match
function in the feed plug-in.
