whats the password in the file ?

hmmm, this looks suspiciously like the post by jorge81 earlier, it's pretty
unlikely that two different people could be so exactly gramatically incorrect
so i have to assume it's the same user. there would be no reason to create
multiple accounts and ask this question more than once unless they are here
specifically to try to make users think this file requires a password. there
are torrents out there which are password protected (or rather the archives
inside the torrent) but never on eztv.

even that hr -release looks a bit crappy when you wach it from
100" screen via home cinema hd (1280x720) -projector.

100" and only 720p? i'd have expected everything to look a tad boxey at that.
don't get me wrong, it'd still look mint compared to my tv, but i don't
understand why you would pay all that money for a hd projector only to settle
for 720p. where's the 1080p!

anyway, i digress from the point. anyone got any ideas as to where the 720p
release is? i know it's just a case of waiting, but i'm just a bit paranoid eztv
might have reconsiderred their 720p stance in light of the recent poor seed:peer
ratios on these torrent swarms. anyone got any news?

hope it's just eztv taking a well-earned break and not that they've decided
against the releases.
death734 Posted at 22/02/2007, 23:45
last time i checked 1080p projectors run around $3000 us.
lost only airs in 720p.
i use a 105" ws projector display and the 720p files look great, not
blocky at all. even 352p don't look to bad at that size, but obviously no where
near as good as 720p. i watched lost season 2 540p hr xvid files with that
projector and those were really good too.
about to watch s03e09 in 720p x264
Jeppe81 Posted at 23/02/2007, 05:55
yeah, not blocky at all. its the projectors native resolution. google that
and maybe you
the1freeman Posted at 23/02/2007, 11:03
man, this episode was bad... worst episode ever. what were you thinking, writer
guys?
Kapela Posted at 23/02/2007, 11:38
@death734
from orlydb, lost.s03e08.1080p.hdtv.h264-hv
maybe e09 will come too in 1080p :d
death734 Posted at 23/02/2007, 15:40
oh yeah from skyone. but that file is also around 6gb because its untouched
identical h264 video/audio as it airs (usa uses crummy mpeg-2 hdtv btw)

the only place you might find that on torrents is hdbits and they are closed for
signup/invites

but even then 720p untouched .ts releases are 3.5-4gb before encoding and people
say they look better then the 1.07gb 720p x264 encodes. some even still prefer the
untouched .ts over 1.43gb 720p x264 encodes
ferengi Posted at 24/02/2007, 15:04
is a 720p version coming? i still can't see one.

thanks.

mus8807 Posted at 25/02/2007, 06:50
found the 720p-version:
h**p://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/1067889/lost_s03e09_720p_hdtv_x264_ctu_demonoid

but only one seed and everyone seems to be stuck at ~7%.
Inker Posted at 25/02/2007, 08:07
thnx for that link mus8807. it seems to origine from demonoid, but yes everyone
is stuck at 7%. heres to hoping it will recover with the original seeder coming
back!

edit: btw anybody know if eztv plans on releasing 720p anymore at all? i'm a bit
worried as i don't have acess to newsgroups :-(
