you aussies need something to cheer you up after being
spanked 3-0 by new
zealand.
what, with half a side? fair cop, the kiwis won (and well), but they shouldn't
take too much out of this. had oz been serious, they'd have sent punter and
gilly. now look at the sick list - too long a season for our boys, and now the
wc. ouch!

sad to say it was not scifichannel's fault that the show was cancelled. for the
first time since the show started sfc gave it the green light for 2 season not
just one. they began writing the show for two seasons and then the
makers/owners of the show decided that they wanted to stop and move onto
something else. for once sfc is not to blame.

ok , i know for a fact that mgm who makes it wanted to do an 11th year but
sci-fi said no. mgm is the one who signed all the actors for two years.
and thanks from vancouver, bc, canada. home of the stargate (it's funny i know a
lot of the places they visit)

wrong actually. it was sci-fi.
mgm wanted an 11th season and were looking at other options after sci-fi pulled
the plug. but i think it was contractual obligations to sci-fi preventing it
going to another channel/medium, so they started working on the movies. and if
the movies sell well (which they damn well will) they want to make more. mgm
have stated on a few occasions that stargate is one of their top franchises.
second only to bond i believe.
then again, i'm not saying i dislike sci-fi for their decision. if they hadn't
picked up season 6, it never would have gotten this far. plus they're still
carrying atlantis :d and we will still get sg1 in movie form. sweet...

they lost on epurpose... they figured if nz won and had girls throwing
themselves at them, at least the sheep would be safe.
