we're on season 5, the dvd sets released in england and australia as season 5 are actually the second half of season 4. |

just check here and change it. the first releases that came out with season 5 are actually season 4, and the seasons 6 are season 5. http://www.tv.com/family-guy/show/348/episode_listings.html?season=0&tag=season_dropdown ![]() |

i haven't seen it yet, but seeing all the people on it, i'd say it's a pretty safe bet that this is the new one. thanks for this! |

no, it's new episode. just name is wrong. it is s06e08, not s05e08. that's all. but if you watch it, you will see that there was one bonus episode after it. i hope that we can download it soon too. |

the name isn't what's the issue, it's that the content of the episode is identical to the one lol released as s06e07. |

they seriously are getting lazy. they used the same joke in this episode that was used 2 or 3 episodes earlier. that may be what the poster was referring too as it being identical. |

in relation to the confusion around what season this is i\\\'ve worked it out and heres some info. this is season 6. fox made a boo-boo. dvd sales of season 4 had 13 episodes and dvd sales of season 5 had 14, why you ask? when fox ordered these family guy episodes they ordered 27 for one season the confusion starts because fox took the show off for a break for a few weeks and it then returned. so instead of having 27 episodes in season 4, you now have a season split in two by the previously mentioned dvd sales boo-boo. hence the current episodes are in fact season 6, so eztv is on the ball. check: tv.com,search for family guy, select the show title,go to episodes, select season 4 to see what season 4 would have been without the break that happened between episodes 63(jungle love) + 64(ptv). hope that clears up the matter because, like many of you out there, it was driving me nuts for a while also. |

i think the best way to sort this out is to check the official source: familyguy.com go to familyguy.com -> about the show -> episode guide it clearly says season 4 has 27 episodes (it goes up to s04e30, but episodes s04e05, s04e06 and s04e07 where never released), so there is no 6th season. "season 6" was just a confusion because of some "season splits" and different dvd releases around the world. |
