@consideratesoul, while I can't speak for JFF, I can speak on how the process typically goes when I do
help ETHEL out with their release schedules, I often have issues where once I start recording the
content properly nowadays; the stream suddenly changes back to the very first episode of
whatever season I am trying to rip and since the software we use is automated to restart the recording
if a stream suddenly falls out/drops in bitrate enough: I think streaming companies are beefing up
their ability to at least thwart newer or newly pirated content... For example, this occurred
repeatedly on Disney+ earlier this year, with the new Daredevil Reborn series where it kept ripping
episode 1 of season 2 every time I would try to advance to the next episode on my own, so I had to
pretty much sit there and watch most of each episode in order to make sure it was a new episode each
time, BEFORE finally packing it up and zipping it off to the release crew to distribute 🤷🏻‍♂️ I am pretty
sure that this is ultimately what is happening now, as more and more people (and AI agents now) use
the ripping software needed in order to pirate the content successfully at full 1080p/2160p quality
without ultimately getting kicked off of whatever server you're ripping the content from.... It's food
for thought 💭 definitely not "fake" it's just a mistake 💯
